Parallel Sounds: Electronic Horizons

Dancer Plays Records is the musical home of the electronic project DasFax, which explores various soundscapes. Rather than being a traditional label with multiple artists, it is a platform where electronic music is used as a form of creative expression and an experimental journey.

The focus is on electronic soundscapes that bridge the gap between club music and atmospheric sounds, ranging from rhythmically driving tracks to ambient, textural compositions. Electronic music encompasses both energy and contemplation, movement and space, the dance floor and headphones. Dancer Plays Records reflects this duality.

Parallel Sounds: Electronic Horizons‘ approach is not to reduce music to a single genre. Each release is a new chapter, a parallel soundscape conveying its own moods and telling its own stories. The focus is on exploration and authenticity — on sounds that not only work, but also express something.

As an artist project, Dancer Plays Records provides a platform for releasing electronic music that is free from external expectations. There are no compromises or stylistic constraints – just the dialogue between idea and sound. The music takes centre stage.

The production of Techno music is based on the constant development of technical progress on the one hand, and on the other hand on the latest perspectives which every new generation of Techno enthusiasts brings with them. Thus, the acoustic visions of sound tinkerers and the know-how of the producers, the software engineers, the mastering studios continue to be responsible for Techno as the definition of what constitutes the music of the future.

Techno styles such as Dark, Dub, Industrial, Minimal, Psychedelic or Ambient Techno demonstrate the classic landmarks and represent the fundamental basis of Techno. Especially through the fusion with other electronic music styles such as House Music, Break Beat, Ambient, Bass, Leftfield, Krautrock, Electro, Trip Hop, Dubstep or Trap, the foundation of Techno undergoes a rejuvenation time and again. Techno music producers and DJs have since followed their intention to produce the temporary sound in accordance to their musical preferences in order to give it a home in their social environment, in the Techno club, in their Techno scene or with the release on a record label of their aspiration.

Driven by sonic experimentation and technological innovation, producers, sound designers, software engineers, and mastering studios continue to expand the boundaries of electronic music—turning it into a laboratory for the sound of the future.

This presents a fantastic chance to act independently and creatively, free from the constraints of a major label, and to make one’s own music accessible to the public. It is the perfect time to consider founding one’s own record label! This was the inspiration behind the birth of Dancer Plays Records!

Techno is like the light-footedness of the dancer, the euphoria at the heart of a dance floor, the dissolution of boundaries, the moment of reflection and freedom.
