Dasfax has been a long-standing figure in German underground and club culture. His musical roots stretch back to the late 1980s and early 1990s — a time when electronic music, spanning New Wave, Acid House, Techno and the first raves, gave rise to a completely new cultural movement.
Influenced by bands and artists such as Depeche Mode, New Order, Anne Clark and The Cure, Dasfax developed an early passion for atmospheric, hypnotic and emotional soundscapes. His journey took him from Thuringia, first to the legendary club scene of Hanover and, by the late 90s, finally to Berlin — right into the birth of a new electronic avant-garde between Ostgut, WMF, Maria, Tresor and the capital’s underground lofts.
In Berlin, electronic music became more than just club culture for him. Amidst techno, house, electroclash, ambient and art projects, a creative network of DJs, artists, photographers and performers emerged. With the founding of KAYSALON in 2007, Dasfax created his own creative space at the intersection of music, art, fashion and urban subculture. Over the years, loft parties, exhibitions, live performances and electronic DJ sets became part of an open, Berlin bohemian culture there.
Musically, Dasfax blends house music, atmospheric techno, emotional soundscapes and driving electronic grooves into a distinctive sonic aesthetic. His DJ sets and productions combine the spirit of early rave and club culture with modern electronic influences, hypnotic energy and a cinematic atmosphere.
Alongside music and club culture, Dasfax continues to champion the values from which the techno movement emerged: freedom, diversity, tolerance and solidarity. As part of the “Tanzen gegen Rechts” initiative, he performed at events and gave a speech at a demonstration about the cultural and social values of the techno movement — against racism, homophobia and exclusion.

Since 2021, Dasfax has been producing his own electronic music. Under his label Dancer Plays Records, he creates diverse soundscapes that deliberately defy reduction to a single genre. Every release aims to combine electronic music with atmosphere, depth, and emotional expressiveness.
For Dasfax, electronic music remains an expression of freedom, energy, and cultural connection.
